My deepest sympathy to all the family of this wonderful man.  Growing up in Christ United Methodist Mr. Brady touched my life in so many ways. Mr. Brady attended as many of the church youth basketball games as possible. It always brought so much joy to see Mr. Brady up in the stands cheering. Mr. Brady continued to cheer me on through my childhood and I feel very honored and blessed to have met such kind man.

Living out of town limits my ability to know current events; I Was not aware Mr Brady passed. To me, Mr Brady made me feel so good about playing softball when I was little. I Was not good, but I would not have known that with me Brady as my coach. He made me feel like an all star. I will never forget his amazing upbeat personality and the encouragement he gave me. GOD gave us a great role model to aspire to. Willl miss knowing you are gone. GOD Bless.

HI my name is Sharon Harris not sure if you remember me. Your Mom and Dad use to walk on my street, Attwood, also when I a child, and I would go to the union picnics your Dad was always very sweet and kind to me. I have now lost both my parents and my heart goes out to you. Many prayer to you Margaret and all of the children.  I very sad that I miss the funeral services, but I just now found out that your Dad had passed away. Many prayers and deepest sympathy to all of the family.

As former neighbors for 37 years and also former members of CUMC we got to know the whole John Brady, not just the "retired plumber".  He was so much more.  If there was a need anywhere by anyone John was there to help.  Our children grew up across the street from the Brady family and all of us have fond memories of the special life he lived and exposed to us all.  From his work with Cub Scouts, through the Halloween parties in the woods behind their home Margaret and John will leave us all in a better place by having them as role models for life.  We certainly will miss him.  We feel blessed to have known them both.

I cannot believe he is gone. He has been such a big part of my life.He has been a beloved friend for about 40 years.  He was friends of my husband as a fellow construction worker.  He helped me when I worked at Potter Park Church as a community outreach worker. When I decided to be a politician, he kept right on helping.  When I changed from politician to missionary he still kept helping.  He enabled us to touch the lives of many people in Haiti.
We could not have done it without his help.  Even when he died, he had a carload of things for the people of Haiti..He served as the president of our Soaring Unlimited Board for over 15 years. We are sure going to miss his advice and help.

I'm sorry for the loss of a dear Brady from our family...although I only met John a few times at our family re-unions, I will attend the services and look forward to meeting those Bradys I have yet to know....cousin Pat (Patsy, Aunt Mary's daughter from Augusta

So Sorry for your loss,  John gave my sister Mary a ride to church many times,  He was kind and generous.

To the Brady family sorry for the loss of your Father my heart goes out to you and my prayers. He was a loving and kind man.

John was the ultimate gentleman, who knew how to bring a ray of sunshine to even the bleakest days. I had the pleasure of working with John and knowing him since the late 1970's. His vision never changed, his beliefs never wavered and his commitment and dedication to them held strong from the day they were made. We had the opportunity to share a piece of cake or pie and ice cream on many occassions, but I have to say no matter how good the desert was the time spent with John while enjoying the sweets were even better. For many years in a row the Michigan Building Trades Legislative Conference started with John saying a prayer to make certain we started the Conferrence off on the right foot with the right vision! Your family has lost truly a great man and so has his Union family. Please remember this poem when you think of John; Those we love don't walk away, they walk beside us everyday, Unseen, Unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. For death leaves a heartache no one can heal and love leaves a memory no one can steal! (author unknown). John you stole our hearts, but your memories we'll cherish forever! My name is Margaret Johnson and I met John when he would come to see his friend Doug Griffith.  I was a home health aide for Doug and John would come to see him every Wednesday and of course bring pies or cookies not just for Doug but for everyone that took of him. He was a very kind man to me and I will miss him.
