Juanita H. Gonzalez

Juanita H. Gonzalez, 81, of DeWitt Township Michigan passed away after a courageous battle with ALS on September 4, 2015. She was born in San Benito, Texas on June 24, 1934. She retired from Michigan State University. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and going to the casino but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially with her two great grandsons Estevan Gonzalez III and Lorenzo Gonzalez who kept her busy and full of laughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lorenzo and Juanita Hernandez; and brother Jose P. Hernandez.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Luis Gonzalez and her children Estevan (Amalia) Gonzalez, Luis Jr (Angie) Gonzalez, Yolanda (Juvencio) Aldaco, Magdalena (Robert) Depew, Irene Gonzalez; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Guadalupe (Virginia) Hernandez of San Benito, TX Jose Lorenzo (Rosario) Hernandez of San Benito, TX, Jose Cruz (Maria) Hernandez of Houston, TX, Lorenzo (Martha) Hernandez of Lansing, MI, and many nieces and nephews who she loved.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Tiffany Funeral Home 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48917 with visitation one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
