Juanita was raised in the coal mining town of Weeksbury, Kentucky. She lost her mom at an early age and at the age of 15, she took a bus to Michigan for a better life. She met up with Bennie Dean and they made a wonderful life together with the help of family and friends. Dad worked hard and so did she. She worked as a cashier at Yankee's Dept store for a while and she loved it! We even got to meet Actress Debbie Reynolds! She made friends everywhere she went, customers and coworkers enjoyed her fun loving humor. She finished out her working days at Capital Bedding making mattresses with her wonderful best friend Peggy Kiwala who got her the job. They had great times!
Juanita loved people and especially babies! When she was out shopping she had to talk to every baby we went by. She could start up a conversation with anyone, anywhere and any time. Juanita collected angels and why not she was an angel on earth. Juanita was and will always be loved by all the nieces, nephews, and grandkids, and she loved all of them so much! She was a cool aunt and Grandma! Known as the "crazy lady" by many. Juanita was fortunate to live in Williamston Lakes with all the wonderful friends and neighbors there that gave her so much love and support. Juanita was also fortunate to have a caregiver that is just a shining star, Christina Roche and her husband Ike and all the children showed mom such love and affection. Juanita loved them all and Christina was with her on her own accord after her services were not needed anymore and even sat with her and tidied her room the day before she passed. Lastly Juanita loved her Grandson Ben with all of her being and would do anything for him.
