June passed peacefully on the morning of August 3, 2013. Throughout her life time, June was known for her sparkling personality, sense of style, adventurous spirit, sense of fun, kindness and generosity. She was a loving wife, mother, sito, and tayta, world traveler, legendary hostess and welcomed everyone with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. June was born June 22, 1922 in Peabody, Massachusetts, and lived a full life of 91 years.

Surviving are 4 daughters, Carol Kasuda, Dianne Johns, Holly (David) Johns Godbey, and Niki (Carl) Johns Gomoluh; son, Bob (Marjorie) Johns; 4 grandchildren, Brandi (Larry) Kirchhoff, Tiffani Godbey, Nathan Johns-Sullivan, and Claire Sullivan; 4 great-grandchildren, Tianna Godbey, Isaac Godbey, Andre Bonhomme, and Madison Godbey; twin sister, Ruth Kudzia, and many other family members and friends. June was preceded in death by her husband, Ike in 1993; sister, Pearl and brother, Cal.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-9 P.M. Wednesday with memories being shared at 7:00 P.M. in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 8, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Rite of committal will be later at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Sparrow Hospital, Hospice House, and especially the staff of Tendercare West for their eight years of exceptional care to June.
