She was the beloved wife of Harold “Bud” Jenks II and a devoted mother to her five children: Chasity (Christopher) Gabrielson, Jennifer (Todd) Goulding, Stacie Tripp, Harli (Matt) Dulebohn, Rebecca (Chad) Every and son Bryan (Deborah) Jenks. Kathy’s love reached deeply into her growing family—she was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit, warm heart, and unwavering support were constants in their lives.
Kathy is also survived by her mother, Genevieve Suhr; her sister, Betsy (Joe) Shooltz; her brother, Roger (Donna) Suhr; and many in-laws and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Suhr; her sister, Debbie (Suhr) Gilbert; brother, Frederick W Suhr; and her mother-in-law, Norma Jenks.
Family was the center of Kathy’s world. She found immense joy in spending time at the lake with her loved ones—especially during boat rides filled with laughter and connection. She shared countless adventures riding alongside Bud on his motorcycle and treasured the bonds she formed with the women of the Brotherhood MC, Lansing chapter. Her loyal dog, Aussie Blue, was her constant companion and brought her endless comfort and joy.
Kathy embraced every role in her life—wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and daughter—with grace, strength, and love. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
A memorial run and celebration of life will be done later in 2026.
May Kathy’s memory bring peace and comfort to all who knew and loved her.
