Age 90, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home to the Lord on February 20, 2015. Born April 14, 1924 in Lansing, MI to William & Ella (Conklin) Hartman. Kenneth was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #6132, and V.F.W. Post #671 of DeWitt. He was a plaster contractor and owner-operator of K.W. Hartman. He retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Military Affairs after many years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Nora A. Hartman; 2 sons, Larry (Eleanore) Hartman, and Gary (Valerie) Hartman; 3 grandchildren, Eric Hartman, Angela (Robert) Longberry, and Nora Marie Hartman; 4 great-grandchildren, Marissa, Kolton, Eric Jr., and Ella; 2 sisters, Arlene Henderson-Carey, and Janet Hatt; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son, Rick a.; his parents, and brother, Alva Hartman.
Visitation is from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday with funeral services 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with Pastor Joseph Huston of the Dimondale United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors.
