Lanny J. Pixley Jr., age 56 of Lansing, Michigan, passed away April 2, 2018. Lanny started working at Meijer in 1979 and continued to work there for 38 years as a meat cutter. He enjoyed attending movies, using the computer, going cycling, attending the Scottish festival, swmming and traveling. But most of all he loved his family very much. Lanny was also a Veteran serving in the US Navy as a seal.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Johnston; brother, Lewis John “Lee” Pixley; and half-brothers, David Pixley, Marc. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki (Pelham) Pixley of 30 years; daughters, Shareen Ray and Crystal (Dave) Froum; grandson, Lucas Froum; brother in-laws, Steve (Jenifer) Pelham, Jeff (Cathy) Pelham; sister in-law Cathy (Roy) Crissy; aunts, Suzanne (John) Sellner, June (Ches) Tredway, as well as one nephew and several nieces and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm Monday, April 9, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing, Michigan 48912 with Rev. Stephen Ezop Chaplin Heart to Heart Hospice Officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
