Beloved Husband
Age 74, died May 12, 2012; born January 19, 1938 in Decatur, IL the son of Orville and Caroline (Carter) German. Larry served in the Air Force National Guard for 6 years (10 months active duty) during the Berlin Crisis. He lived in Fort Myers, FL from 1962-1982. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Deborah Heart & Lung Association and Judson Memorial Baptist Church. He owned his own business (Lawn Maintenance By Larry) for 14 years until 1997 when he had to give it up for health reasons. Larry loved golf, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard, sister, Barbara Vanderschuur, and first wife, Ruth. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Jean A.; sister, Patricia McClanahan; 6 step-children, Cheryl (Toby) Bixby, Brenda (Tom) Delaney, Lisa (Chris) Hartwig, Larry J. (Deanna) Krawczyk, Linda (Mike) Cunningham and Rose Gleason; 9 grandchildren, Andrea (Rob) Perry, Jason R. (Deanna) Krawczyk, Dennis G. (Alicia) Keel, Jacob D. Keel, Edward and David Roberts, Terry Wager, William Gleason and Donna Kay Gleason; 4 great-grandchildren, Jordan Keel, Olivia, Trevor and Bobby Perry; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 11:00 AM at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, 530 Vernon Avenue, Lansing, MI 48910 with Rev. Zachary Bartels and Clifford Raymond, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Judson Memorial Baptist Church. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing.
