Laura L. Flynn

Laura was born to Jane and Charles Anderson on June 15, 1967 in Flint, Michigan. After she completed high school at Owosso High School in 1985, Laura served as a Private in the United States Army from 1986 to 1987 and was honorably discharged. Laura worked at Citizens Insurance for 27 years.

Laura resided in her dream home in Howell, MI, where she enjoyed hosting her friends and family, dog-sitting, and watching, feeding, and naming the various wildlife on her property. Laura was so proud of her children and grandchildren, spending as much time with them as she could and sharing their accomplishments with her friends. Laura was also a devoted member of Elks Lodge #2168 for 11 years. She held the position of Trustee from 2015 to 2020 and was awarded Officer of the Year. Laura was involved in numerous charity and community events through the Elks over the years, most notably being a member of the Veterans Service Committee for 10 years. Laura was well-loved by her fellow lodge members, many of whom she viewed as extended family.

Laura is survived by her three children, Veronica Tannery, Tyler Flynn, and Corey (Stephanie) Flynn, her cherished grandchildren, Dakota Tannery and Peyton Tannery, her parents, Jane Anderson and Charles Anderson, her three siblings, Annette Juliano, Mary (Thomas) Terry and Charles (Renita) Anderson, six nieces and nephews, Monica (Cale Felker) Terry, Erica Terry, Mareena Terry, Charles Anderson, Jaysen Anderson, and Elizabeth Juliano, and many friends.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Laura’s life will be held at the Elks Lodge #2168 on Sunday, March 03, 2024 from 1:00-6:00PM. The family and friends appreciate your support during this time. In honor of Laura’s unending generosity, the family requests donations be made in Laura’s name to Blue Star Service Dogs of Pinckney (https://www.bluestarservicedogs.org/) or a memorial tree be purchased from The Trees Remember (https://thetreesremember.com/) in lieu of flowers.

Laura had a vibrant spirit, welcoming presence, and a heart of gold. She will be sorely missed.
