Lawrence Lincoln Byers

Lawrence Lincoln Byers (Larry) born in Manistique, Michigan on February 12, 1929, died June 24, 2015, in Lansing, Michigan. Larry served his country during WWII and Korea in the AAF. Larry worked for the FAA in Detroit and the Capital City airport as an Air Traffic Controller. In later years, he owned and operated B & J Mobile Home Service.

He is survived by his very special friend, Lois Budd, and three children, David (Janie) Byers of Lake Odessa, Deborah Byers-Benoit (Michael) of East Lansing, MI, Charlene Byers-Sherman (Douglas) of Lyons, MI. Grandchildren: Sandy (Mike) Vaughn, Allyson (Michael) Shadowens, Marci (Walt) Reynolds, Mary (Dave) Searles, Elizabeth Robins (Adel Nona), and Josh Sherman. Larry had numerous Great Grand Children and family in the U.S.A. and England.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Broughton Byers, parents William & Elizabeth Byers, and brother Wayne Byers.

The service will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church, 1519 Elmwood Rd, Lansing MI on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. David R. Pike, a close friend of the family, will be the officiant. A luncheon will follow the service with interment at 2:00 p.m. with military honors by V.F.W. Post #701 Cemetery, in Hillside Cemetery, Delta Mills. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, June 28th from 4-8 at St. David's. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
