Lawrence O. Chick went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2015. He was born on December 4, 1929 in Queens, New York to Stephen and Gizella Chick. He was a civil engineer for the Michigan Highway Department, a United States Army Korean war veteran, a member the Christ United Methodist Church and a University of Michigan Alumnus.
Lawrence is survived by son, Kenneth Martin Chick; daughter, Eileen (Scott) Wright and 3 grandsons, Stephen, Garrison and Calvin Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Joan Jordan.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, 517 W. Jolly Rd., Lansing with Pastor Lyle Heaton officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at church. Burial will follow in the Delta Center Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan, with military honors by V.F.W. Post #701. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw Street, Lansing.
