

She was born on May 19, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A graduate of Michigan State University majoring in Journalism, she bled Green and White, passionately supporting her beloved Spartans through thick and thin.
Lillian was a writer by occupation. She wrote the book, "Stan Kenton: The Man and His Music" (1989) about the bandleader from the 1940s, and wrote for several local newspapers and magazines.
She played the violin in the Mid-Michigan Symphony Orchestra in the 1980s. Later she worked for the Agriculture Department at Michigan State University as an administrative assistant until her retirement.
Lillian loved gardening, reading, traveling, and listening to jazz and classical music.
A loving mother and wife, she was married to her husband David Arganian for over 60 years until his death in 2019.
She is survived by her only child, David G. Arganian (Elizabeth) of Seattle; her granddaughter Tamar Arganian of Spokane, Washington; and her niece, Florence Nalbandian of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
There are no public services scheduled at this time. Lillian will be laid to rest next to her husband, David, at Delta Center Cemetery.
A fighter to the end, Lillian will be sorely missed by her friends and family.
