Louise Marie Hamilton, age 82, died November 25, 2011. She was born in Lansing, MI, July 21, 1929, to Nelson and Ann (Szedlak) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, Sr. in 2004 after 54 years of marriage; son, James; grandson, Michael; brother, Robert Smith; son-in-law, Thomas Adams of Saginaw; brother-in-law, Richard Fedewa; sisters-in-law, Louise Hamilton of Florida and Joan Hamilton of Lansing. She is survived by her children; Donald (Vonda) Hamilton, Jr., Ruth A. (Joseph) Leyrer, Vicki Adams and Russell (Carol) Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Fedewa; brother, Darwin (Camilla) Smith; sister, Pat (Kenneth) Carter; sister-in-law, Betty Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert and Charles Hamilton. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and enjoyed her many loving nieces and nephews. She loved to work at and visit Bancroft Flower Shop. She was a switchboard operator at Arbaugh’s Department Store in the 1950’s and a long-time member of the Church of the Resurrection. A wonderful homemaker, avid reader, Don & Louise loved trips to Middle Lake. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00am at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI with the Rev. John Fain officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Rosary being prayed at 7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Michigan Chapter, 1421 E. 12 Mile Road, Bldg. A, Madison Hts., MI 48071 in memory of Louise.
