

Born on October 24, 1945, in Lansing, Lynda was the beloved daughter of Robert Nelson Wilson and Isabelle Erma (Beebee) Wilson. She grew up in Lansing and graduated from Everett High School in 1963.
Lynda lived her life with a sweetness and simplicity that drew people to her. A loyal Christian and faithful member of Lansing South Church of the Nazarene, she embodied genuine kindness, quiet strength, and a loving spirit that defined every role she held, especially that of being a mother. She was gentle, wise, strong, and beautiful inside and out, and her warmth touched all who knew her.
Lynda worked for many years as a Head Start bus driver for CACS in Lansing. In the later years of her career, she served as a direct care worker, continuing her lifelong dedication to caring for others.
She is survived by her children: David Armstrong (Carole Schroeder) of Vassar/Saginaw; Jeffrey Armstrong (Denise) of Camdenton, MO; Stacey Armstrong of Lansing; and Jason Armstrong (Misty Furgala) of Lansing. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrea Armstrong of Mt. Pleasant; Jessica Armstrong of Vassar; Katelyn Armstrong of Mt. Pleasant; Sierra Armstrong (Andrew Hinton) of Grand Blanc; Alyssa Moody (Camron Coats) of Mason; Branden Moody of Grayling; and Christien Moody (Kenzie Moody) of Springfield; and her great-grandchildren: Jaden, Gabriel, Noah, Sophia, Connor, Elayna, Shaylynn, Josiiah, Laiiklynn, Vincent, Graysen, Alaia, Emersyn, and Bentley.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patricia; her great-grandson, Tyson; and her special friend, Gerry Davis.
A funeral service for Lynda will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at South Church of the Nazarene, 401 W Holmes Rd., Lansing, MI 48910.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Armstrong, Jason Armstrong, Christien Moody, Camron Coats, David Dyer, Fredrick Autrey, Marcus Hilton, and Warren Jackson.
