Margaret M. Lewis

Margaret M. Lewis, born May 1, 1926 to Alfred and Mae (Bouts) Huber, passed away March 28, 2014. Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed trips to Florida with her family and going to Baldwin with John and Eve. Margaret enjoyed watching “The Young and the Restless” for 40 years and meals with family at Zeus’. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl F. Lewis; grandson, Michael Lewis; and brothers, Robert, Russell and Doc Huber. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Harris, Deborah Lewis, and Mark (Marisa) Lewis; her grandchildren, Richard Harris, Shannon Harris, Dawn (Josh) Verhelle, Matthew Lewis, Joseph Lewis and Anthony Lewis; great-grandchildren, Damon, Justin, Michael, Stafford, Margaret, Annabella, Aiden, Alex, Ramsey, and Ashton who is expected soon. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and especially her best friend, Betty Hartman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue in Lansing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Miami, FL 33134, and the Autism Society of Michigan, 2178 Commons Pkwy, Okemos, MI 48864, in memory of Margaret M. Lewis.
