Marilyn was a devoted homemaker, and anyone who knew her, knew she was an amazing baker and cook. Her cooking was the heart of every gathering. Though she generously left behind her recipes, those who try to recreate them know that something essential is missing. It was Marilyn’s special touch that made everything she created unforgettable. More than her incredible culinary talents, Marilyn will be remembered for her compassion. She never spoke a harsh word about anyone, always choosing to see the good in people.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Surviving are her children: Jeff Cody, Jerry (Linda) Cody, Jon (Karla) Cody, and Julie Kilpatrick; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis James Cody; son James (Brenda) Cody; and grandsons: Jimmy Cody and Austin Cody.
