Marilyn Farrell

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, May 24, 1929, passed into eternal rest in Lansing, MI, December 22, 2011. It is with

heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, wife and best friend. Her journey in this world has ended, her pain is gone, and she now rests in the arms of Jesus. Marilyn, or ?Marilou,? loved life, loved her friends, and most of all loved her family.

Her eyes smiled when she saw us, Her arms went out to comfort us, She counseled us with loving words, ?Do unto others?? and ?But for the Grace of God?,? She dried our tears and made us laugh. We will miss her dearly, But know that she is in a better place.

Marilou is survived by her husband and best friend of 61 years, Tom; her children, Richard (Gail), Grand Ledge, MI; Thomas, Michael (Carol), Mark, Susan (Douglas) Lenon, Lansing, MI; James (Jane) Okemos, MI; Mary (Robert) Moffett, Pierson, FL; and Nancy Nelson, Weslaco, TX; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Patrick, daughter Catherine, granddaughter Sara Rivera, and her sister Barbara Nelson. The family wishes to invite those whose lives were touched by Marilou to join them in celebration of her life Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 10:30 am at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lansing, MI. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Tuesday with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil Service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI.
