

Martin John Jerick, Jr., aged 79, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Eaton Township, Michigan. Born on February 17, 1945, in Lansing, Michigan, Martin was the beloved son of Martin John Jerick, Sr., and Olga Durkovic.
A proud graduate of Potterville High School in 1963, Martin furthered his education with classes at Lansing Community College. His professional journey included ten years at Motor Wheel in Lansing and eight years at Beurmann Marshall. He later co-founded ICS Marketing Support Services with a group of colleagues, a successful business from which he eventually retired.
On July 3, 1965, Martin married the love of his life, Judith (Judy) A. Jerick, at Pennway Church of God. Together they built a life centered on family and shared values until Judy’s passing on October 27, 2011.
Martin’s life was enriched by his passions for golfing, bowling, football, and frequenting casinos. A devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State University sports teams, he also enjoyed watching "Gutfeld!," "The Five," and "Ridiculousness TV." An ABT tournament champion and once featured in the Lansing State Journal, Martin’s accomplishments reflected his drive and determination.
He is survived by his children: Constance (Connie) Jerick; Douglas Jerick (spouse Stephanie Jerick); and Mike Hannah (spouse Julie Hannah); as well as his cherished grandchildren Chad Hannah (spouse Alissa Hannah), Ken Hannah, Shelby Hannah, Justin Hannah, Jacob Hannah, and Joshua Hannah, and great-grandchildren Tristan and Presley. He is also survived by his siblings Carol Church and Dave Jerick. Martin was predeceased by his parents and his wife Judy.
Known for his caring nature, sharp wit, and business acumen, Martin will be remembered as a loving family man who balanced toughness with fairness. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A visitation for Martin will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
