Mary Duvelia Moncada

Maria was born on March 19, 1950, to her parents Charlie Bordayo and Delores Delagarza (Ramiel Loredo)

Maria was married to Alfredo Chavez Moncada Jr for 38 years. 3 children, Herbey C Garza III (Jennifer), Andrew Lee Garza, and Diana D Garza (Eric Lopez). She was also a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren. Alondra Garza, Roberto Cervantes , Marisella Cervantes, Juan Garza, Suzy Garza, Andrew Garza, Andrea Garza, Jasmine Garza, Herbey Garza (pops), Benjamin Garza & Victoria Garza (Lulu) & many great grandchildren.

Maria had a passion for spending time with her family and watching her favorite Western show, Gunsmoke as well as playing Loteria with her siblings winning all the monies as she would say "I love it too manies!"

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was our rock. She's so deeply loved.

A visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home,900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, on March 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary being said at 7:00 pm

The funeral Mass will take place at Cristo Rey Church, 201 W Miller Rd, Lansing, MI 48911, on March 3, 2026, at 10:30 am with the family receiving friends from 9:30 until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
