Mary retired in 1989 from the Michigan House of Representatives as a secretary to 2 Speakers of the House and several Legislators in her 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church.
Mary enjoyed playing cards, golfing, traveling, and spending time on the beach in Florida. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Frank V. Wierzbicki; grandson, Dr. Kenneth S. Cosgrove; and brother, Frederick R. Ewing. Surviving are her daughter, Judy K. Cosgrove- Banwell; grandson, Dr. Dennis L. (Michelle) Cosgrove, Jr; granddaughter-in-law, Karen Cosgrove; 3 great-grandchildren, Bobby Cosgrove, Kendall Anne Cosgrove, and Kayden Alise Cosgrove; 2 sisters, Beatrice A. Pattison, and Delores (Robert) Hutchinson; 2 brothers, Richard Ewing, and Virgil Ewing; sister-in-law, Bonnie Ewing; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday with 7:30 P.M. Thursday vigil service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 5, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, with Fr. John P. Klein Presiding. Viewing will be from 1:30 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at church. Rite of committal DeWitt Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Gerard Church or the Susan G.
