A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister was born October 18, 1922, in Wellsville, OH; died September 3, 2010 at the age of 87. Mary had retired after 45 years as an Avon Representative. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a long time member of Walker Bible Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 2008. She is survived by 2 sons, David (Betty) Shappell and Mark Shappell; 3 grandchildren, Frank and Karlene Kerkes and Cindy (Steve) Moon; 2 sisters, Loretta McGowan and Katherine Cheney and one brother, Tony LaManna. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. Ralph Barton officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
