

of Lansing, MichiganMax A. Pearson, age 87 passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Lansing. He was born September 8, 1920 in Fremont, Michigan to Robert and Sena (Visker) Pearson. Max was a WWII Veteran, serving as a demolition specialist in the U.S. Army. He was awarded two Bronze Campaign Stars, a European African Middle Eastern Campaign ribbon and a Purple Heart. Max was a past Commander of the Lansing DAV, a life member of Morley S. Oates VFW Post #701and Chapter 37 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a purchaser at Oldsmobile for 32 years. He enjoyed music, golf, reading, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie, daughters, Linda (Pete) Johnson of Grand Ledge, Jeanne (Tom) Stormes of Howard City, Barb (Steve) Eastman of Grand Rapids, Marnie (Jeff) Laurion of Stafford, VA; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters; sister, Leone Vallier of Muskegon; cousin, Anita Bradshaw of Fremont. His parents and two sisters, Melba Syers and Marie Grant, preceded him in death. Visitation is 6-8PM Friday, March 14, 2008 with Funeral Services 10:30AM Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing, 48917. Pastor Gary A. Bunge of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be Delta Center Cemetery with military honors by V.F.W. Post #701.
