Michael Bruce Loughin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Bruce Loughin (Mike), beloved Father, Grandfather, and Friend, on January 9th, 2025 at the age of 55. Michael was born on July 14, 1969 to Richard George Loughin and Joyce Joan (Wieczorek) Loughin in Lansing, Michigan. He was a cherished resident of Lansing, Michigan throughout his life.

Mike is survived by his life long best friend and mother of his children Lorretta Lahti of DeWitt, his daughter Nicole Marie Loughin of DeWitt (Norman Eugene Lofton III), and their two children Norman Eugene Lofton IV (Normie), and Noah Michael Lofton. His son Brandon Michael Loughin of Lansing (Megan Dwyer) and their son Cooper Allen Loughin. His daughter Cadence Lahti of DeWitt. Mike is also survived by his sister Deborah Meyers (Brett Meyers) nephew Tyler Meyers, niece Melissa Bankus. His niece Chelsea Loughin, niece Chandralyn Thornton-Loughin, and Douglas Loughin, and many great nieces and nephews. Mike was proceeded in death by his parents Richard George Loughin and Joyce Joan (Wieczorek) Loughin, and his brothers Richard and Douglas Loughin.

Mike lived in the Lansing area his whole life. He worked for Piazzanos for 14 years where Mike made the best cheesecakes in Lansing. Mike loved his family and worked hard for them every day of his life. When Mike was not working he loved to cook, especially for his family. He loved to be outdoors and often had cookouts in the backyard where he would tell stories of growing up in Lansing and jam out to music. He loved hangout out with his grandbabies. He was looking forward to many camping and fishing trips with his grandsons in the future.

A private memorial service will be held by the family on Thursday January 16th, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel. Following the service Mike will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the home of his son, Brandon Loughin.
