

Neil Ray Park passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 75 in Lansing, Michigan. Preceding him in death were his parents Bernard and Maxine (LePage) Park, his sister Siray (Park) Taylor, and his son-in-law Jon (Lisa) Dennison. He is survived by his children, Lori Park, Lisa Park, Jennifer (Daniel) Jaquint, his granddaughter Nicole, his nieces Tina (Scott) Gleason and Shawn (Mike) Wonn.
Neil was born in Lansing, Michigan at St. Lawrence Hospital on May 26th, 1946. Affectionately known as Butch by his family. After graduating from Everett High School, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas, where he trained as a medic, and met his first wife, the mother of his children. After his service, he returned to his hometown Lansing, Michigan where he proudly opened and established Park’s Furniture, a fixture near downtown Lansing for more than 50 years.
Neil had many skills and interests. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of the Lansing Boat Club, and a member of the conservation club. He had a full metal and woodworking shop, built a dune buggy in the 70’s, and played for the Master Blasters, a pro paintball team in the 90’s. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
No services will be held at this time. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
