Passed away peacefully on January 1, 2013. She was born December 8, 1938 in Lansing, the daughter of Marjorie and Otto Fineout. She had one sister and one brother. She attended J.W. Sexton High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Jack, marrying him on January 21, 1956. Throughout their 56 years of marriage they enjoyed raising their two daughters, vacationing in northern Michigan and traveling to the casinos in Las Vegas. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Jack; daughters, Cindy (Gary) McCormick, Julie (Mark) Lewy; grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey, Meghan, Courtney, Nicholas, Zachary; great grandchildren, Alyjah, Austynn, and Benicio, all of whom loved her dearly. Also surviving are sister; Shirley McKim; brother; Richard Fineout; sister-in-law Sandi (Frank) Wangeman, along with many nephews and their spouses; as well as one very special niece, Joann, whom mom loved dearly. Mom retired from the Treasury Department after 27 years of service. After one week of retirement she went to work at the office of Dr. Hourani where she worked for several more years. An avid golfer, she played on two summer leagues and enjoyed many fall golf outings. “What happens at Maguires stays at Maguires!” Mom loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. She shared many trips with family and friends. She also loved Broadway theatre productions and was a season ticketholder at the Wharton Center for many years. She shared that love with her daughters and grandchildren, treating them to many wonderful shows. A celebration of mom’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 5th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those desiring, contributions may be made in memory of Pat, to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Life lives on through memories and those we hold most dear never truly leave us. They live on through the kindness they showed, the laughter they shared and the love they brought to our hearts. Thanks for the memories mom. We love you.
