Patrick Lawrence Verderese

Pat was born in Lansing, Michigan on May 8, 1961. As the youngest child of Frank and Mary Verderese, he was treasured by his parents and his six older siblings and he brought great joy to the family. Pat was particularly close to his maternal uncle, Robert Reed. They shared a passion for hunting and fishing, and Pat took great pride in his beloved uncle’s distinguished naval career.

Pat graduated from St. Johns High School in 1979. He was a dedicated and hardworking “right hand man” in his parent’s business, Verderese Distributing Company.

Pat was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He cherished residing in the DeWitt area, and he held great affection for his wide circle of friends. Pat was a man of few words, with an enormous heart, unyielding character, and a wonderful sense of humor! He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:30 AM, with a half-hour prior visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM with the rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM, at Church of the Resurrection, 1505 E Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. Following Mass, the Rite of Committal will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, 2520 W Willow St., Lansing, MI 48917. Mass will be livestreamed on YouTube and can be viewed at a later date for anyone wishing to attend virtually.
