Phyllis M. Gilbert

Phyllis M. Gilbert, 88, of Bath, Michigan passed away January 3, 2014. Phyllis was born on March 24, 1925 to the late Alfred and Thelma (Roscoe) Davis in Lansing, Michigan. She was a supervisor at the juvenile home and retired from Ingham Co. Probate Court. Phyllis enjoyed wordsearches, needlepoint, and making quilts for her much-loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her cat, Oreo, dearly, and she was also a phenomenal cook and baker. She will be greatly missed.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Gilbert, Sr.; her son, Vern Gilbert; grandson, Tracy Krumm; sister, Mildred Kimmel; and daughter-in-law, Sallie Slocum. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon (late James) Harper and Sandra (late Ralph) Krumm; sons, Edward (Sharon) Slocum and Adrian (Jill) Gilbert, Jr.; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Doris Howard, Verl Judd, Virginia Gage, Evelyn Eubanks, and Rosie Claytor.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
