Raymond J. (Ray) Feldpausch was born on February 17, 1935 in Fowler, MI, the son of Raymond and Armella (Pohl) Feldpausch. He spent his childhood in Fowler, in the best place a kid could grow up - a farm. He was married to his sweetheart Doris (Harr) for 65 years. Family and faith were the most important things in his life, and he was always willing to help family and friends with projects. Ray served in the National Guard for three years. He retired from the City of Lansing Central Garage as Superintendent after 30 years of service.
Ray was known for his sense of humor and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking in the woods, cooking and grilling. He volunteered for Homebound Ministries and was a Eucharistic Minister with Doris at Sparrow Hospital for 20 years. He served on the St. Therese Building and Grounds Committee, Parish Council, and as an Usher. Also, he was a member of St. Therese Parish and the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; brother, Bernard; sisters, Theresa (Alan) Kramer and Agatha Epkey; brothers, Clement and Max; sisters-in-law, Theresa Feldpausch and Louise Feldpausch; brothers-in-law, Tony Thelen and Louie Epkey.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Henry); sons, Joe (Adriana), Michael (Tanya), Tim (Carree), and Mark (Kriston); grandchildren, Corey, Kyle (Vanessa), Emma, Rachel, Nathan, Jacob, Darrell, and Zakk; great-grandchild, Harper; brothers, Leon, Francis, and Casper (Theresa); sister, Mary Ann Thelen; sisters-in-law, Adeline Feldpausch, Ruth Feldpausch, and Nancy Riel; and many nieces and nephews.
