Reginald Chambers

Reginald Chambers, a loving son, husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away on March 12, 2024. Born on August 16, 1963, in Lansing, Michigan, Reginald brought joy and happiness to the lives of those around him. Reginald found his soulmate in Debra Kay Wright, and their marriage of 26 years was filled with love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful life and created lasting memories. Family meant everything to Reginald. He shared a deep bond with his parents, Bertha Mae Chambers and Richard Lee Thompson.

Reginald leaves behind a loving extended family, including his siblings, Richard George, Carlos (Geraldine), Shannon (Jan), Shana, Tracey (Karl), and Sherri (Quinn), who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Reginald embraced life with passion and joy. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, barbecuing, hunting, fishing, music and representing MSU. His 27-year career with the Michigan Department of Corrections where he was trusted to be a part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) showcased his dedication to serving others and making a positive impact. Reginald's legacy lives on through his mother, wife, cherished daughter, grandsons, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Their love and support during this difficult time bring comfort to the Chambers family. In this time of loss, the Chambers family is grateful for the overwhelming kindness and support they have received. Your love and presence have meant the world to them. They find solace in knowing that Reginald's memory will forever be cherished.

Reginald Chambers will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love and memories he shared. May he rest in eternal peace. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Galilee Baptist Church, 2511 Reo Rd. Lansing, Michigan 48911. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
