Age 93, passed away on January 18, 2019. Born February 15, 1925 in Lansing, MI. Dick served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He retired from Fisher-Body on July 31, 1980 after 32 years of service.

Surviving are his son, Richard (Susanne) Ballard and their children, Lucas Ballard, Helena (Lance) Fischel and their children, Ella & Shane; and Lydia Ballard; daughter, Donna Kaye and her daughter, Jennifer ( Paris) Guffey; son, Michael Grant and his children, Mike Jr., Michelle, & Angela; son, Mark (Laurie) Grant and their children, John, Kellie, & Daniel; daughter, Karen (Gary) Ferguson and their children, Jasper, Evan, Mason, Spencer, and & Camille; daughter, Crystal (Blane) Rings and their children, Landon ( Natalie) Carr and their children, Quora & Flynn; Melissa (Tyler) Eathington, Hayden Carr, and Griffen Carr; and with loving respect to: Elaina, Cheri, Christie & Lori; Malinda, Lannie, Jason, Justin & Katie and their families. Dick was preceded in death by his wives, Lela F. in 1982 and Barbara J. in 2018; parents, Earl & Clara; siblings, Edward, Robert, Mary, Lawrence, Don, and Patricia.

Visitation is 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with a 7:00 P.M. Scripture service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at church.
