I learned everything I know about computers from him he will be missed

Dick always spoke openly of what was on his mind, and made it easy for me to share what was on mine. I will always remember and appreciate the conversations we had. Dick was always defiant, whether it was a snowball fight or a softball game. I'm sure he was that way to the end. Rest easy now, Dick. I will miss you.

Dick taught next to my classroom at Everett for years. He was always an out going and friendly person who not only cared about people he worked with but his students were always front and center. I could always count on Dick to help a student whom we shared in common as teachers. I am truly sorry to hear the news that he has passed away after a battle with cancer. I hope that the memories you share will provide you with comfort, a laugh and reflection that allows you to heal from his loss.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dick. I went to grade school with him at Holy Cross, then we both went to Mt. St. Francis Seminary for 2 years. We both left there to finish our high school and graduate from O'Rafferty High School. I was looking forward to hopefully seeing at our 45 year reunion in August and congratulating him on beating the odds & becoming a survivor, but alas it was not to be. You will be missed my friend! My sincerest condolences to his family & close friends & to those whose lives he had a positive impact on. May you rest in peace my friend !!

I've known Dick since grade school. I would run into him at Home Depot and we would compare projects we were working on. His were always way more ambitious than mine! Great guy. I'm so sorry he lost his battle. He gave it his all. My condolences to his family.

I attended grammer school (Holy Cross) and high school (O'Rafferty) with Dick. To soon to be leaving.

Crying so hard I can hardly type this.The greatest teacher I ever had was Richard. His heart was always in the right place.He changed me for the better. He challenged me daily in school to be better than where I came from. I called him dad and. He called me daughter. I loved to see him at school and never wanted school to end because of him. He treated my kids like they were his and always asked about them, always visited .e at work when in The mall. Told me about kayaking or his trips out of country like Africa. I will beyond miss this great man. You prayers to his wonderful family and friends.

It was my privilige to work with and know Dick through Everett High School. I found him to be deeply caring individual about his students. We had many talks about life in general and working at Everett. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Peace and grace to you. Much fondness. Mr. Maurer was the BEST teacher my daughter ever had. He knew how to communicate with her and our family. I'm so saddened by this. My prayers are with his family and friends!
