Robert L. Davis

Robert L. Davis, 69, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away July 3, 2014. He was born on June 27, 1945 in Carydon, Indiana to the late Enoch and May (Hicks) Bolen. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran, having served his country in the United States Army. He later worked at Sparrow Hospital as an engineer. He also loved working in the garage with his daughter, Robyn, and rebuilding lawnmower engines and weed-eaters. Robert enjoyed country music and playing computer games.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; adopted parents, Vergi Breedin and Roy Davis; and twin brother, Russell Breedin. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Davis; daughters, Robyn (Eric) DePeal, Alice (Tom) Russell, and Theresa (Sam) Auer; many grandchildren; brother, Holly Bolen; and several other sisters and brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service and on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lansing Chapel. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to wishes of the Davis family.
