Robert Allen Garrett

Robert Allen Garrett, age 49, passed away September 18, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Robert was born on August 12, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Jo Ann (Baase) Garrett. Robert was in the Army for 13 years and served as a Military Police during the Desert Storm. He loved Nascar, fishing, hunting, boating, camping, and cooking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children. He worked in the automotive industry for almost 30 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and Mary Lou (Weezie) and Kalman (Kelly) Hauk. Surviving to cherish his memories are a beloved companion, DeLisa Thompson; his children, Samantha, Kassie, Brooklynn and Robert “JR”; granddaughter, Alia Garcia; brothers, Ray (Andrea) Garrett, Richard and Shannon Garrett; and sisters, Heather Garrett and Shawn (Ray) Coon; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E Michigan Ave.. Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
