

Roberta Fisher, a long-time resident of the Mason area, died Saturday the 25th of June at The Marquette in East Lansing Michigan. Born in 1937 in Holt, MI., Roberta worked at a number of Physician offices early in her career. Roberta then finished out her career at the Department of Natural Resources for the State of Michigan where she worked for 12 years and then retired. Roberta was an active Church member at the Pennway Church of God in Lansing along with many of her closest friends and family. Roberta loved to bowl in her early years and enjoyed the outdoors. She had a wonderful voice and virtually any topic would cause her to break into a song of joy and praise. She was one of three sisters that recorded a number of songs as the “Bowman Sisters”. She is survived by her husband Bobby Fisher of 59 years along with her three sons Gary, Rodney (Valerie) and Robert (Cynthia). Also surviving are eight Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren and her two sisters Marlene Miller and Doris Roose. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 11:00am at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh Rd., Lansing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be made to either Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3100 West Road Suite 100, East Lansing, MI 48823 or the Pennway Church of God.
