

Roberto DeLaCruz (Beto), of Lansing, Michigan unexpectedly went to be with the Lord Friday, May 26, 2023, at the young age of 35. Roberto was born on March 20, 1988, to Francisco Jr. and Peggy DeLaCruz in Lansing, Michigan.
Anyone who knew Beto knew he loved his family more than anything. All he ever wanted was to be around those he loved. He enjoyed hanging out with his kids and watching them grow up. Roberto spent a lot of time with his mom. They would go to the casino every Friday. He spent a great deal of time with his nephew Tomas, just hanging out and watching movies. He always knew which new movies were coming out and he enjoyed going to the theater. Beto worked at Famous Taco, which was founded by his great-grandparents, many years before he was born.
Roberto is preceded in death by his father, Francisco DeLaCruz Jr. his grandparents, Francisco DeLaCruz Sr. Rosa DeLaCruz, Edgar Pease, and Peggy Embrey (Pease). Sister, Brenda DeLaCruz, niece Arianna DeLaCruz (Ana), and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his children, Laila and RJ DeLaCruz, his mother Peggy DeLaCruz; 9 siblings, Jose DeLaCruz, Lisa Combs, Francisco DeLaCruz III, Angel (Bobby Jr) Hyle, Rhonda (Oscar) Loza, Renee (James) DeLaCruz-Rector, Shaun (Carleana) DeLaCruz, Jennifer DeLaCruz, and Rosie (Mike) Benson, as well and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 5 from 6-8 PM at Gorsline Runciman & Tiffany Funeral Home - 3232 W Saginaw St., Lansing. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Mary Cathedral - 219 Seymour Ave, Lansing, in Lansing with one last visitation beforehand at 9:00 am with Father Bill Luger as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery - 2520 W Willow St., Lansing. Luncheon to follow at St. Mary Cathedral.
