

Roger “ Red” D. Pope was born June 17, 1946 Lansing, the son of the late Charles and Mildred Pope, passed away November 19, 2016 at the age of 70. Roger Served in the United States Army as a 1st Sargent for 30 years, Operation Desert Shield and Storm. He proudly worked as a Motor Wheel Employee for 28 years he was also a member of the union. Some of his hobbies include nascar, being a car enthusiast, MSU, watching fox news, classic TV, and old country music. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred Pope; brother Charles Pope; and step sister Janet Gregory. He will be remembered by his spouse, Joan Pope; brothers; Ronald (Renalee) Pope and Robert (Jennifer) Sebrell, daughters; Tracy (Phillip) Platte and Erin Pope; sons Todd (Veronica) Pope, Timothy (Joyce) Pope; grandchildren Trai Pope, Sky Pope, Max Pope, Felicity Pope, Thera Pope, Dani Platte, Grace Pope, Tresden Ritter, TJ Pope, Zach Platte, John Pope, Trenten Ritter, Tracy Pope; great grandchild, Evelyn Pope. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday November 27, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends from 3- 7 p.m. on Saturday at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing and also a one hour prior at the funeral home.
