
Roxie Lynn Porter was born on March 23, 1954 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Harry and Vivian (Dean) Porter, and passed away on October 12, 2015 at the age of 61. She retired from Motor Wheel Corp. in Ypsilanti. She started her own cleaning service in Lansing in 2001. Roxie loved to swim, watch “The Young and the Restless” and drive fast. She was really involved with her family, extended family and friends and very loyal to them. She was a good cook and loved her music. Roxie was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Paris West; and brother, Thomas Fouts. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Angela Porter and Adrienne (Henry) Flamand; three sons, Anthony (Amy) West, Colby Skippergosh and Lee Skippergosh; ten grandchildren, Vanessa, Marquise, Breasia, Ciera, Azhanae, Gage, Anthony, Bow, Eliza and Trevon; one great grandchild, Liberty; godchildren, Natalie Roberson and Javon Barry; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend, Gail Tanner. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with Miengun G. Pamp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the family in memory of Roxie Lynn Porter.
