

Scott William Specker, born on February 13, 1969 in Jackson, Michigan, passed away on November 30, 2016. He graduated from Holt High School in 1987 and attended Northern Michigan University and Central Michigan University. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Ryan, and Grandmothers Lenora Hearl and Barbara Specker. He is survived by parents; Connie and Terry Specker, Julie, the mother of his children; Justin, Daniel, Richard, and Joshua, Sisters; Bethany Chenoweth-Bailey (Steve Bailey), Terri (Kelly) Langdon, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He played Rugby at Central Michigan University and in 2012 he was on the Rugby coaching staff at Forest Hills High School - the team included his son Daniel, and they won the state championship. He loved coaching kids, especially his own. Scott attended Sunshine Church in Grand Rapids with his family. Scott was a loving father who cared deeply for his children and expressed that love in every aspect of his life. He will be greatly missed, but his life will be celebrated and preserved by anyone who had the pleasure to know him.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing and also one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will take place privately.
