Sheryl Mae Franks

Sherrie grew up in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from Waverly High School. On August 12, 1967, she married the love of her life, Gary Lynn Franks, in Lansing. Together, they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and devotion.

A woman of deep faith, Sherrie attended the First Church of the Nazarene for many years and was a steadfast believer in God. She was known for her kind heart and her willingness to pray for anyone who needed it.

Sherrie found immense joy in nature and cherished time spent in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula at the lake and cabin. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, she never missed a single sporting event, birthday, or celebration for them, always making their milestones a priority in her life.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary; her children Adam (Theresa) Franks and Tamara (Roger) Beach; her grandchildren Katelyn and Addison Franks and Marty, Taylore and Evan Beach; and her sister Cindy Deboise. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Sally Tabor and Mitchell Foster.

Sherrie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her faith-filled spirit, and her ability to bring comfort through prayer. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

May her memory bring peace and solace to all who were blessed to share in her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel located at 3232 W. Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917 from 11am-1pm, the family invites you to come share memories and celebrate Sheryl's life.
