Shirley Ann Donaldson Kuhlman

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother & gigi, Shirley Ann Donaldson Kuhlman, passed away July 14, 2017 after a short illness at the grand age of 96. Born June 19, 1921, in Detroit, to Estella & Raymond. She had one brother, Raymond, that preceded her in death.

Shirley met her husband, Charles, in grade school, but it wasn't until later that their love story began. They were married in 1944, and Charlie headed off to serve his country. Upon his return, they started their life together, setting up home base in Lansing, and working as partners in the family building business, Shirley doing the bookwork, while together they raised 5 children.

Our mom loved, golf, needlework, crossword puzzles and bridge with "the girls", but her greatest joys and biggest smiles came when she was with her family ~ that was her happy place. Gigi is survived by her 5 adoring children, John (Linda), Tom (Elaine), Chris (Larry), Tim (Tina), & Marcia (Dick), 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated in a memorial service at a later date. We know you are with your "beloved Pete" together forever Mom.
