Shirley T. Kinney, age 82, passed away on June 8, 2014. She was born August 7, 1931 in Lansing, MI. She was currently a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church activities, having served past churches as a Sunday school teacher, and playing the organ. Shirley's family was a source of great joy in her life.

She is survived by her 5 sons, Allan (Kathleen) Kinney of Kalamazoo, MI, Timothy (Denise) Kinney of Indiana, Stephen (Genevive) Kinney of Arizona, Joseph (Elizabeth) Kinney of Lansing, and Douglas (Debra) Kinney of Lansing; 3 daughters, Jannette (Merle) Ayers of Utah, Sheryl (Michael) Nelson of Fenwick, MI, and Carol (Stephen) Cressler of Lansing, MI; 22 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Gaylord (Robert) in 2013; parents, Ray & Nina Hegle, Harold & Mable Cottom; siblings, Bernita, Willis, Clyde, Ellis, Max, Russell, and Sheldon.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 2300 N. Waverly, Lansing with Pastor Adam Ray officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing. Gifts in Shirley's memory may be made to the Maranatha Baptist Church Building Fund.
