Stephen Albert Simmons

He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother Joe ( Dale ).

He is survived by his son Brandon ( Nikki ) Simmons, sisters Barb ( Bob ) Kurtz, and Darla ( Bob ) Lewis, his girlfriend Pam Wren, his dog Judy, Aunt Connie ( LeFever ) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steve was a sports fanatic who was active in many sports through-out high school and also a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School class of 1970.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting in Hillsdale, golfing with friends, but mostly enjoyed spending his time fishing at the family cottage in Lake Odessa where fishing reports were issued daily. He was also a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Woodland aerie #3782 and Lansing aerie #1039.

Until his retirement Steve was employed by the State of Michigan, Transportation department a division of state wide signal. This took him over the entire state installing traffic signals. He easily made many friends due to his laid back attitude and his quirky/warped sense of humor.

Steve will be missed by many and due to the current pandemic the family will welcome all who knew and loved him to a celebration of his life at a later date.
