Sue was raised in Greenville and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. She later received her Master's degree in Public Administration from Western Michigan University. For many years Sue was a dedicated and highly professional civil servant. She was a member of NOW, NAPO, and Alpha Omega Pi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eric Roach; sister, Ruth; half-brother, David. Surviving are her sister, Melanie; two nieces and one nephew.
In keeping with Sue's wishes, no services will be held. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
