

Terrilyn Jean Beers, a beloved resident of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 2, 1936, in Michigan, Terrilyn led a life full of love, dedication, and community service.
Terrilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Beers; her parents, Martha and Howard Aldrich; her brothers, Wayne and Doug Aldrich; her sister, Lois Sindall; her sister-in-law, "Kitty" Smith; her son, Mark Beers; and her nieces, Ronna Hay, Sally Hay, Doris Sperry, Vicki Langworthy, Lyn Aldrich Bowling, and Cindy Aldrich Diffin.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Wells and Martha (Richard) Sysak; her sons, Rodney (Deborah) Beers and Timothy (Wanda) Beers; her grandchildren, Sherri (Jay) Winter, Heather (Brian) Donohue, Terrilyn Smith (Joseph Maxfield), Rebekah (Greg) Drewiske, Kenneth (Kayla) McCollor, Hannah (Kyle) Oleson, Jonathon (Ashley) Zdunic, Kelly (Brock) Campbell, Josh Beers, and Sarah (Bryce) Bishop; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Terrilyn, affectionately known as "Mom," was passionate about sewing, roller skating, and bowling. She was an integral part of bowling leagues with her husband Larry, Mark, and Martha. She cherished trips up north, especially to the Upper Peninsula.
Terrilyn retired from Sparrow Hospital, where she started in the laundry and worked her way up to sterilizing surgical instruments. She was a proud member of Zion Lutheran Church in South Lansing, where she sang in the choir for many years and participated in the Mary Martha's ladies group.
Terrilyn had a deep love for her indoor kitties, especially Alice, and cared for many community cats that frequented her porch. She was committed to their well-being, ensuring they were TNR'd and cared for by neighbors when she could no longer do so.
Visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, Michigan, on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include Rick Aldrich, Richard Sysak, Brock Campbell, and Jonathon Zdunic.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terrilyn's name to the Ingham County Humane Society, Zion Lutheran Church, or the American Cancer Society. Save a kitty and call it Terry.
