Thelma Easterling

Thelma Louise Easterling Lansing, Michigan Thelma Louise Easterling, age 83, passed on peacefully October 23, 2012. She was born May 9, 1929 to Ollie and Nellie Lockard of Duncan Mills, IL. She was a legal secretary for private practice attorneys in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Easterling; 3 brothers, Ronald, Chester, and Jim Lockard; and 3 grandchildren, Tom Kevelighan, Lisa Koester, and Matthew Tenniswood. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Rod) Tenniswood and Judy Kevelighan; her son, Jeff Easterling; 6 grandchildren, Michael and Melanie Tenniswood, Joseph and Ann Marie Kevelighan, Trevor Easterling and Andrelle Isbell; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ray (Velma) and Jack (Mary Nell) Lockard; and 2 sisters, Twila Lewsader and Betty Jennings. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her love for the Lord and her family were the center of her life. Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw Street, Lansing with Greg Harger and Matthias Wells officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Eaton Community Palliative Care for the loving care they gave to Thelma, and gifts may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care in her name.
