Vera B. Niklas

Age 96, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home to her Lord on December 15, 2015. Born September 30, 1919 in White Co., IL. Vera graduated from Central High School. She retired in 1985 from the State of Michigan Department of Treasury after 18 years. She also worked at Arbaugh's Department Store.

Surviving are her 3 children, Vickie Niklas, Betsy (Abel) Garza, Bradley (Joni Singletary) Niklas; 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Shalonda) Garza, Hilary (Dan) Wolf, Heather (Alex) Terwilliger, Amanda (Wes) Anderson, Samantha Miller, and Bradley Niklas; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alene Moore; brother, Dillard Garrison. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jan Lynn; former husband, Russell Niklas; parents, Roscoe & Agnes Garrison; 3 sisters and a brother.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Friday, December 18, at Mount Hope Church, Garden Prayer Chapel, 202 S. Creyts, Lansing, with Pastor Deanne Moore officiating. Viewing will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Friday at church. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
