William Gerald Johnson

Age 93, died July 25, 2015 in Lansing, MI. William was born November 14, 1921 in Wauseon, OH to William and Rebecca (Bevelhymer). He married the love of his life Donna and they just celebrated their 73rd anniversary. William and Donna were the top managers of Tupperware at Gala Sales in Jackson, MI in the 50’s and 60’s. He loved bowling, fishing, playing cards and a good joke. William was known as an optimist and had a quick wit. He will be dearly missed by his family very much. The family would like to thank all the staff at Great Lakes Caring and Aiding Hearts for their wonderful care. Preceding William in death are his parents and sister, Marcile Dunbar. He is survived by his wife, Donna; brother-in-law, Leland Dunbar; sons, Kenneth (Kathleen), Dennis (Jean), Allen (Helen), Les (Karen) and Darrell (Nicola); 15 Grandchildren, Brent, Chad, Janet, Julie, Jill, Jodi, Renee, Kelly, Aaron, Portia, Keeton, Bobby, Stacy, Ron and Madisen; 22 great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Jordan, Ryan, Evan, Benn, Joshe, Arin, Rachael, Isaac, Christian, Logan, Audrey, Boyd, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Paige, Camryn, Brooklyn, Koert, Caleb, Chloe and Chase; one great great-grandchild, Annabelle. Funeral service will be held, 11 am, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
