Wilma Elizabeth Moray

Born February 23, 1917 in Elsie, MI, the daughter of the late Leo and Leota (Peters) Dunn, passed away June 19, 2013 at the age of 96. Wilma was born on a farm north of Elsie and moved to Lansing from Alma at the age of 6. She graduated from Central High School and attended ACME Business College. On October 30, 1937 she married the love of her life, Adelbert “Del” Moray and they enjoyed 74 years of marriage before he passed away in 2011. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper/accountant for the State of Michigan and MSU. After retirement she served as a volunteer in her community and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting and painting beautiful pictures. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church and before that Main Street Methodist Church. She was blessed with many friends and loved parties and get togethers with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Francis “Bud” (Janet) Dunn of Lansing, Duane (Margaret) Dunn of Clearwater, FL; and daughter-in-law, Meme Moray. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard (Donna) Moray and Robert Moray; grandchildren, Lisa Moray David, Stephen, Michael and James Moray; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney and Karyssa; great-great granddaughter, Haidyn; brothers, Larry (Blanche) Dunn and Robert (Carol) Dunn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Grand Haven Living Center for their loving care of Wilma. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church, 517 W. Jolly Rd., Lansing. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing and one hour prior to the service.
