Surrounded by loved ones, Adam Alexander Rohrmann, age 45, of Oldsmar, Florida passed away peacefully at HCA Florida Largo Hospital on November 16, 2022, following a brief illness. Adam was born at Sheppard Air Force Base, in Wichita Falls, Texas; yet, he grew up on the family farm on Rohrmann Road in Darlington, Pennsylvania, a place dear to his heart. Adam attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School in Beaver Falls, PA.
Adam and his family moved to Seminole, Florida, when he was 13 after his father was transferred to the Bay Pines Veteran Affairs Medical Center. From there, Adam attended and graduated from Seminole High School, St. Petersburg College, and Full Sail University in Orlando. A talented videographer and photographer, Adam traveled the world on various assignments, winning many awards for his magazine covers, short films, and documentaries. Aware of those less fortunate, every Christmas, Adam provided photographs for families with special needs children. For over 6 years, he volunteered with the Tim Tebow Foundation and Jeremy Cowart’s Help-Portrait.
Adam held a pilot’s license for drones and was a certified open-water diver. His favorite jobs were working for Kelby One and Travelopia. He loved the opportunities they provided to expand his skills while he traveled throughout the United States and overseas. Whether personally or professionally, Adam packed a lot of living into his life.
Adam is survived by his broken-hearted parents, George & Pauline, Largo; his older brother, Pierce, Seminole; nephew Colt, Seminole, beloved cousin Marci Melvin Mckeel and Aunt & Uncle Bonnie and Bob Melvin, all of Darlington, Pennsylvania; numerous Rohrmann, Mattie, and Leyrer cousins; best friends Russ and Jackie Mall, Seminole; and Eliar Mayorga, Clearwater.
Adam will be greatly missed by friends from all over the world. In social media posts this week, Adam’s friends have written about his sense of humor, generosity, artistic skill, compassion for others, and ability to inspire friends and colleagues to do their best. Some of his remarkable photographic genius can be seen on his website www.adamshotit.com.
