A resident of Largo and formerly of Pinellas Park, Florida, Amelia moved here with her husband of 55 years, Joseph A. Gannon, in 1955 from her native Philadelphia, PA.
She was a mother, a homemaker, and later became a real estate agent for several years prior to working for the Pinellas County School System. She was a Secretary at Walsingham Elementary for a number of years before retiring from working at Enterprise Village in Largo, FL.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen J. And Joseph C.; a daughter, Marie and her sister, Alice Cimorelli.
She has two Granddaughters, Amanda and Ariana Gannon, along with a daughter-in-law, Idalia Gannon, who live in Texas with her son, Stephen.
Amelia was a loving mother and a shining light to all who knew her. She has moved on to a better place in heaven and is with her son Michael, husband Joe, and the rest of her family and friends who preceded her.
